Laramie Enduro Tests Mountain Bikers | Laramie Boomerang

There were some familiar names that crossed the finish line first after the grueling 70-mile Laramie Enduro mountain bike race Saturday in the Medicine Bow National Forest.

The race featured nearly 500 mountain bikers, some of whom are the top endurance riders in the region and around the country. The course started and finished at the Hidden Valley Picnic Area in the Pole Mountain area east of Laramie and explored double- and single-track trails with varying terrain.

Jay Henry of Arvada, Colo., won his second overall Enduro title when he finished in 4 hours, 49 minutes 5 seconds in the pro/open category. He last won in 2008 with a time of 4:48.53.
